Cartogram Contest - CIG 2017

As part of the 49th conference of Irish Geographers we will be running a contest for students to generate the most interesting cartogram based on the theme Disruptions and Transgression. You can find more information below along with the entry form.

Why enter?

​Some benefits of entering the contest
- Entrants will receive training on how to generate a cartogram, which may be of benefit to their own studies
- All entries will be featured in GeoNews with the possibility of a publication in Irish Geography
- Prizes (kindly sponsored by the Geographical Society of Ireland) will be awarded for the winners:

1st prize: €100 and CIG dinner ticket
2nd prize: €75
3rd prize: €30 book voucher

Step 1. Register for the Contest

Step 4. Submit your Cartogram

    Cartogram Submission Form

    Submission Deadline is Friday 28th of April
    In case of joint submissions, you will be asked to confirm co-author names after you have submitted the cartogram
